Privacy Policy
Hello Michelle Jones
Your privacy matters to me
When you connect with me, whether through my website, The Weekly Doorway, a Human Design session, Body Wisdom or another offering, I want you to feel comfortable sharing what feels right for you.
I respect the personal nature of the information you share with me. I take your privacy seriously and am committed to treating your information with care, respect and confidentiality.
I believe your personal information deserves the same care and respect as the person sharing it. I aim to collect only what I need, keep the information I hold appropriately secure, and respect your privacy in all aspects of our work together.
This Privacy Policy explains what information I collect, why I collect it, how I look after it, and the choices you have about your personal information.
1. What information do I collect?
The information I collect depends on how you connect with me and which services you choose.
This may include:
Contact details: your name, email address and mobile number.
Booking information: your preferred appointment date and time, booking details and relevant correspondence.
Human Design information: your date, time and place of birth, which I use to explore your Human Design chart with you.
Information you share during sessions: personal reflections, experiences, concerns, wellbeing information or other details you choose to share with me.
Website and email information: information you provide when subscribing to The Weekly Doorway, contacting me through my website or interacting with my online content.
I aim to collect only the information reasonably needed for the purpose for which it is requested. For example, birth details are collected when they're needed for a Human Design service.
You're always welcome to ask questions about why particular information is needed.
2. How and why do I use your information?
I collect and use personal information to support my work with you and to run my business.
This may include using your information to:
Respond to enquiries and communicate with you.
Arrange and manage appointments and workshop registrations.
Prepare for and provide Human Design sessions, Body Wisdom sessions, talks and other experiences.
Generate your Human Design chart when relevant to your session.
Maintain appropriate records of our work together.
Send The Weekly Doorway to people who have subscribed to receive it.
Manage my website, improve my services and meet applicable legal obligations.
I keep booking questions focused on the information I genuinely need to arrange and prepare for your appointment. I don't seek extensive personal or health histories unless they're necessary for the service being provided.
3. Information you share with me
My work is centred on creating a space where you can explore yourself with curiosity and without judgement.
You may choose to share personal experiences, thoughts, feelings or information about your physical or emotional wellbeing during a session. You may also share information relating to your Human Design chart.
I treat what you share with care and respect. I use this information to support the service you're receiving, rather than for unrelated purposes.
You decide what you feel comfortable sharing. You don't need to disclose more than you wish to, although some information may be necessary for me to provide a particular service.
Information about your health or wellbeing may be considered sensitive information under Australian privacy law and may receive additional protection.
4. How I protect your privacy
I take reasonable steps to protect the personal information I hold from loss, misuse, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.
My approach includes collecting only what I need, keeping booking questions relevant to the service, using appropriate security for my accounts and devices, and limiting access to personal information to legitimate business purposes.
I aim to use secure, reputable service providers and review how personal information is accessed, stored and retained.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure. However, I take my responsibility to look after your information seriously and work to manage it appropriately.
5. Third-party service providers
I use trusted third-party services to help me operate my business, manage bookings and communicate with you. These currently include:
Squarespace for my website and website hosting.
Acuity Scheduling for appointment bookings and workshop registrations.
Google Workspace for email correspondence.
Mailchimp for delivering The Weekly Doorway.
VentraIP for domain registration and management.
These services may process personal information on my behalf to provide their services. Depending on the service and its configuration, this may include contact details, booking information, email subscription details and information submitted through online forms.
Each provider has its own privacy and security practices. Some providers may store or process information outside Australia.
I take reasonable steps to choose appropriate service providers and protect the information entrusted to me. I encourage you to consult the providers' privacy policies for further information about their handling of personal information.
You can find their privacy information here:
VentraIP — see its current privacy policy for information about domain registration and account data.
I do not sell your personal information.
I will not otherwise disclose your personal information unless you have consented, the disclosure is reasonably necessary for a purpose explained in this policy, or disclosure is permitted or required by law.
6. The Weekly Doorway and email communications
If you subscribe to The Weekly Doorway, I use your name and email address to send you the weekly email and manage your subscription.
Your subscription details are managed through Mailchimp, my email delivery platform.
I won't add you to other marketing communications simply because you've subscribed to The Weekly Doorway.
Every email will include a way to unsubscribe. You can also contact me directly if you'd like to stop receiving emails.
Unsubscribing from The Weekly Doorway won't affect any services you have booked with me.
Mailchimp may also collect information about email delivery and engagement, depending on the settings used. This information helps manage the email service.
7. How long I keep your information
I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable legal obligations.
When information is no longer needed, I take reasonable steps to securely delete it or de-identify it, where appropriate and permitted by law.
The period for which information is retained may depend on the type of record, the service provided and any applicable recordkeeping requirements.
8. Accessing or correcting your information
You can contact me if you'd like to know what personal information I hold about you, request access to it, or ask me to correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
I will respond to your request in accordance with applicable privacy requirements. In some circumstances, I may need to verify your identity or may be unable to provide access to particular information where an applicable legal exception applies.
9. Privacy concerns or complaints
If you have a question, concern or complaint about how I have handled your personal information, I encourage you to contact me so we can discuss it.
I will take your concern seriously, look into what has happened and respond as promptly as reasonably possible.
If your concern relates to a matter covered by Australian privacy law and you are not satisfied with my response, you may be able to raise it with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
You can find information about privacy and complaints at www.oaic.gov.au.
10. Cookies and website activity
My website or the services used to operate it may collect limited technical information, such as browser details, website usage information or cookies, to support website functionality, security or analytics.
The information collected depends on the website platform and any third-party tools in use. I'll ensure this section accurately reflects the cookies, analytics and other tracking tools enabled on my website.
11. Changes to this Privacy Policy
I may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to my business, the services I offer, the technology I use or applicable privacy requirements.
The latest version will be available on my website, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top.
12. Contact me
